Do I really need a website?

If you are running a business then that answer is almost definitely yes, these days most people will research products/services online before buying.

 

I already have a website, can you just redesign it?

Absolutely, tell us what you do and don’t like about your current website and we can improve it for you.

 

What will my website look like?

Whatever you want it to. After a brief consultation to find out your requirements and ideas, we will work in close contact with you to ensure your website matches your vision. Click here for some examples.

 

Do I need any technical knowledge before you can design my website?

No, you just need an idea of what you want, we can take care of the rest, however, if you have the technical knowledge you can maintain your own site.

 

How long will it take to complete my website?

Every website is custom built so the actual time depends on what is required, once we have the details we will give you a reasonable launch date and endeavour to beat it.

 

What about site navigation?

Your site navigation is your choice but we recommend simple navigation bars with some text links, keeping it simple makes it easier for visitors to use, keeps your site loading quickly and makes it compatible with different browsers and screen sizes etc.

 

Do you use Flash and does it cost extra?

We use flash photo galleries but don’t often use it for anything else and there is no extra charge for it.

 

I want to put some photographs on my site but I don’t have any digital ones, can you help?

Yes, we can either scan in photographs you have or for better quality photographs of whatever you want you can arrange for us to come and take them.

 

I have my company's logo and some other materials on a CD/flash key, can you use them on my website?

Yes, we can incorporate any digital images/text into your website.

 

Will I be able to see my site before it goes “online”?

Yes, we will show you the site at regular intervals for approval and only when you are 100% happy will it go live.

 

Will we be included in search engines?

We will link appropriate keywords to your site with a description then once your site goes live we will submit it to the major search engines

 

What support do you offer?

This depends on your package. For web design only you will be given your website on a CD and no further support will be offered. For hosting packages that are self-maintained we offer some support, however you may be charged for repairs if your updates corrupt your site and you need us to repair it. For hosted and maintained websites full support is given along with reasonable regular site updates and help with email accounts etc. If you wish to add a large amount to your site in one go there may be some charges for that.

 

What level of uptime do you provide?

We provide greater than 99% uptime and are so confident in our server that we host our website on it too.

 

How many email addresses will I need?

That is entirely up to you, you could just have one or you could have one for each department/employee, you could even let friends or family have them too if you wanted to.

 

Do I need to have a specific program for my emails?

We recommend using software like Outlook or Thunderbird to send and receive your e-mails which we can help you set up, however we can also set up the email accounts to forward to your current e-mail address.

 

How do you keep your prices so low?

By finding out exactly what you want and charging accurately we can provide high quality at low prices. If you only want a few pages and a couple of email accounts and aren’t expecting hundreds of visitors each day then that’s what we provide you with and that’s all we charge you for. If you decide you want or need more then we will simply upgrade your package for you.

 

If I want to upgrade my package, is there a fee?

There is no upgrade fee as such, however if you choose to upgrade partway through your year we will begin your upgraded package with the value of your remaining months as a discount. For example, if you are 6 months in to your current package then your discount will be half the annual fee you have already paid.
